Peggy Evans

Peggy Evans (nee Merry), Jan 1930 - Dec 2015

Peggy was born on 12 January 1930. In time she met and married George Evans and they subsequently had 5 children. While the children were growing up she worked on the land, potato picking, so she could save up to buy the children Christmas presents. Later on she worked in the greenhouses at Fen Drayton growing tomatoes etc.

As well as her 5 children, she also had 13 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even a great-great-grandchild.

Peggy and George lived in Post Street and then moved to Cambridge Villas where they lived their lives out. Sadly, her husband passed away on 26 November 2005 and Peggy almost ten years later on 29 December 2015.

They are both sadly missed every day.
